Sushant Verma is a design entrepreneur, architect, design technologist, installation artist and a photographer known for his creative technologies developed at his globally recognized design studio rat[LAB]-Research in Architecture and Technology. Having a keen eye for art, spaces, & technology, he attempts to blend it into his photographs to experiment with new mediums of photographical representations. Over the last decade, he has built his photography bandwidth in multiple genres.
Sushant picked up a deep interest in cameras at an early age using his father’s SLRs and Polaroid to develop a sense of camera mechanics for many years, before the advent of digital photography. His photography skills further developed during his architectural studies where he undertook many photography assignments and started to develop a parallel profession into photography under the brand name ‘digiEYE’, a depiction of camera lens as an extension to self, allowing him to experiment with various genres to develop a photographic sensibility. With a deep connection with design & technology, he explores the intervention of technology in photography to create artistic articulations through spherical panoramas that he shoots mostly during travels, with subjects depicting cityscape, architecture and nature, to create surreal art through photography. He is also working on a photobook project that documents various genres of photography he has worked with, and has now started to use photographs as experiential enhances in interior spaces, used as art.
